Chinmay Raj Nataraj is the founder of Mergent. He is completing his BSc in Computer Science at King's College London, and builds systems that turn messy real world context into reliable software workflows.

His background is in applied AI, designing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines so LLMs can answer from proprietary document collections with grounded, context aware responses. That includes ingestion for PDFs, OCR output, and JSON; semantic chunking and metadata enrichment; vector search with Qdrant and FAISS; and embedding strategies that improve relevance, cut hallucinations, and keep latency workable. He prototypes and iterates with Python, LangChain, and API based LLMs, and continuously evaluates retrieval quality across datasets.

On the infrastructure side, he runs VPS hosted AI services with Nginx reverse proxying and SSL, Docker deployments, self hosted Gitea for version control and CI, plus monitoring and production troubleshooting. Outside that, he builds and ships projects on GitHub: the same habit that shaped Mergent, with agent driven code changes, live previews, and PRs ready for human review.
